Volunteers are the heart of Saint Aidan Parish. There is not one program; one office or committee; no youth activity or ministry that could function here with out the help of literally hundreds of volunteers. How can we say thank you for the hundreds of hours of service and dedication that make our parish the vibrant, prayerful, caring place it is? I’ll tell ya! You through a party....And one heck of a party it is!
Each year to say in some small way “thank you” for all that they have done Saint Aidan Parish Staff works together with some help from some really great young people and throws a bash to salute all those who give so generously of their time and talent. It’s a night of music, good food, great conversation and fun for everyone.
This year our appreciation party is on Friday, April 4, 2008. All volunteers are welcome! Click Here
Come one, come all – let’s have some summer fun (and a little spirituality too). Add to your summer plans a weekend of rides, games, food, entertainment and friendship right here on our parish property. Our festival, which is usually the fourth week of July, transforms our parking lots into a carnival for all ages activities for adults and children of all ages. Each year the festival centers around a spiritual theme. Naturally the first was all about Saint Aidan – the Bishop of Lindisfarne. Each year the festival committee decides on a great theme to keep us centered in the midst of all the fun. Come join us and see for yourself.
What a great chance to don your dancing shoes, grab your stepping out partner and have a ball. Our annual Gala is the parish gathering for great food and music at the Immaculate Conception Seminary in Douglaston. The Gala is also the parish opportunity to honor two outstanding members of the parish for the incredible work they do: the Zweibel Award for community service and the Elizabeth Seaton Award for education.
Want an alternative to being out on the road for New Years Eve? Want to spend the evening in an inexpensive yet fun way with your friends and neighbors. Why sit at hope, come join us as we welcome the new year together!

There is something for old and young alike. The day begins with Mass in the park on the show mobile, after ward stake you square footage and set up camp. There will be games, music and prizes galore for everyone. Come on down and join the fun with all your parish friends...and don’t forget the sun screen!
